50th Anniversary CPSGB and Stampex 2003 (National Stamp Exhibition and Fair)

The Slovak designer and engraver Martin Činovsky designed a limited edition card for this event. The design is a tribute to his mentor, the designer and engraver, Albin Brunovsky (1935-1997). It was inspired by the 1988 stamp honouring the 125th anniversary of Matica slovenska designed by Brunovsky and engraved by Činovsky. The signed card has a commemorative handstamp with the initials M C and 50, indicating it was also the designer’s 50th birthday that year, with his cardiogram print out across the centre.
